Het is alweer de 10e januari. Vrijdag voor controle naar het UMCU. Ondertussen ben ik natuurlijk nog niet gebeld dat er een donor is, anders hadden jullie het direct kunnen lezen.
Mede door alle vragen die mensen mij hierover stellen wil ik nogmaals aangeven dat er echt wel een donor voor me gevonden gaat worden. Daar hoeven we ons dus niet druk om te maken. Heb kennelijk een gangbare “HLA” typering (=weefseltypering; bepaalt of iemand donor kan zijn).
Overtuigd van het feit dat ik met een betere conditie, enerzijds een grotere kans maak op overleven, maar anderzijds ook sneller weer zal revalideren, ben ik via de stichting Tegenkracht (begeleiden sporters met kanker) terecht gekomen bij de Fysiotherapeuten Maatschap Woerden. Met een prima begeleiding ben ik, na een uitgebreide intake, vandaag voor het eerst krap een uurtje aan het sporten geweest. Met gewichten de spieren getraind, en daarna nog een kwartiertje op de hometrainer. Voelde goed om weer wat te kunnen doen aan mijn conditie.
Bij Tegenkracht doen ze trouwens goed werk. Nogmaals, ik heb echt de overtuiging dat een geringe investering in bijvoorbeeld zo’n stichting besparingen oplevert in de 2e lijn (verkorting ligduur, minder complicaties), maar ook bij de werkgevers (korter verzuim) of verzekeraars (verzuimverzekering, maar ook verlagen kostprijzen ingreep).
Mede door mijn zorgachtergrond zou ik dit graag aantonen en preventie/conditieverbetering voor behandeling, in algemene zin promoten. Er lezen vele mensen mee die werkzaam zijn op verschillende niveau’s in de zorg. Iemand een idee hoe dit aan te tonen? Ik zit er nu midden in 😉 en bied me aan als proefkonijn.

It’s funny because I’ve played sports literally my entire life and have always been a huge team player. But since I started working, I absolutely hate working in teams. Turqoise in the interior department is a cool and calming color, and also HAPPY! I find that many people write so much stuff online in a very stream-of-conscious style, or it’s just as if they were talking to you face-to-face, and it’s obvious that they don’t go back and re-read or use spell checkers, and that drives me crazy! In my own quest for perfection, I force it on others, and yet your student insightfully acknowledges that flaws are what make us real. Good for her.
