Positief nieuws

Voor het eerst is Dolf de afgelopen week enkele keren in de rolstoel mee naar buiten geweest.
Een uurtje in de tuin gezeten, een rolstoelwandeling gemaakt door het dorp, een ijsje gehaald bij de snackbar… Hoogtepunt was een uurtje bij de tennisbaan! Er werd net een open toernooi gehouden, met een lekker zonnetje erbij. Enkele bekende dorpsgenoten gesproken.
Dolf moet wel een goede dag hebben, want meestal is de energie ver te zoeken.

Controles UMC

Vorige week zagen de bloeduitslagen er goed uit. Aangezien er toen ook een bloedtransfusie is gegeven, mocht de hematologie-controle één week worden overgeslagen.
Vandaag is er een uitgebreide oogcontrole uitgevoerd. Bij een stamceltransplantatie kan er schade aan de ogen ontstaan, door de afstoting die kan optreden. Gelukkig lijkt dit Dolf bespaard te blijven. Alles zag er prima uit!!

Dit was het eerste onderzoek van een heel pakket controles die na ongeveer 100 dagen na een stamceltransplantatie worden uitgevoerd. Half september volgen o.a. een beenmergpunctie en een CT-scan.

Herstel … 

Het gaat langzaam, tergend langzaam. Dolf slaapt nog steeds heel veel, gelukkig slaapt hij ’s nachts ook goed. Hij haalt nog steeds zo’n 14 tot 16 uur per etmaal. Hij heeft weinig energie, veel spierpijn. Hij kan dagelijks enkele (fysio) oefeningetjes doen, lange rustpauzes zijn nodig…
Dolf heeft al zijn energie nodig voor het herstellen.

Jammer (frustrerend), dat het e.e.a. niet sneller gaat, maar het herstel heeft zijn tijd nodig.
